What the course is about

The exciting course will introduce you to new techniques and approaches building upon your current knowledge. The tutor will provide demonstrations and examples and offer a range of subjects and starting points to take your watercolour painting to the next level.

Topics may include:

  • Brush types, sponges and applications
  • Different watercolour media
  • Colour theory in practice
  • Expressive approaches

This is a structured course including demonstrations, group and individual coaching. At times you may be given step-by-step instructions. A range of techniques and artists will be sampled in order to support learners’ individual style. Starting points may include both real life subjects and photographs, with a variety of subjects.

Learning takes place in a friendly classroom setting, which is a great place for social interaction and helping you meet new people.

This workshop is subsidised by Government funding so you should aim to attend the whole workshop.
