The purpose of this admission session interview is to provide you with:
- A taste of Counselling Skills at Level 2 through a practical activity and some theory review. This will also provide tutors with an idea of your current level of skills and enable them to assess your suitability for the course.
- Full details of the course delivery and the options available.
- Information as to the pre-requisite skills or qualifications needed prior to enrolling.
- Examples of the breadth and depth of study and the assignments you will need to undertake at Level 2.
- An overview of the study materials you will use at Level 2.
- Information as to the commitment and home study requirements.
- Some suggestions for self-assessing your suitability for study at Level 2 and a career in Counselling.
- A Skills Check for English, maths and ICT as appropriate.
- Details of learning support or financial support that may be available to you.
- An opportunity for you to ask questions about the programme.
- Advice on what you may be able to do after the course and how to get the necessary qualifications to work as a Counsellor.
