What the course is about

Looking after your own mental health and well-being is an important part of being a successful part of society.

This fascinating course will help you focus on the things which make a difference for you - one size definitely doesn’t fit all!

Learning activities may include:

  • Top tips on maintaining positive relationships
  • Identifying and dealing with issues the Covid-19 Pandemic has brought
  • Exploring family dynamics and practicing the art of Coaching and Negotiation
  • Fun activities to improve your personal health and well-being;
  • Learning simple mindfulness techniques to restore balance in your life
  • Looking at what other support is available in your local area

You will learn through a variety of activities including tutor demonstration, presentation and guidance, individual and group work, discussion, internet research, films and recordings, reading of various types of text in a variety of media and written pieces and assignments.

You will be supported to develop good study skills and where relevant, your learning will enable you to develop skills and knowledge required for work.

There are regular assessments throughout the course designed to provide feedback on your progress.

This is an intense course and significant home study will be essential to successfully complete this course. Homework will be set regularly, and you will be expected to complete this to retain your place on the course.
