What the course is about
This course is aimed at absolute beginners and no previous of experience of ICT is needed. However, it is also suitable for learners who have previous experience of ICT but it is out of date or who would like to build up their confidence before going onto higher level courses. The course has 6 weekly session of 3 hours each.
The learner will:
- Be able to use hardware
- Recognise the main parts of an ICT system
- Use hardware
- Be able to use a software application
- Name two software applications and their uses
- Use a software application for an agreed purpose
- Input information
- Present information for the agreed purpose.
- Be able to follow recommended safe operating practices
- List safety points to be remembered when using an ICT system
- Follow safe practices
