What the course is about

Our Active Learning programme is a suite of courses for adults with SEND and/or learning difficulties. Our courses promote independence, build confidence, and develop new skills.

This course will enable you to improve your reading, writing, speaking, listening and communication skills through a variety of fun activities.

Classes are supportive and fun, led by highly experienced teaching staff.

You will gain knowledge of how to:

• Build skills to become more independent
• Ways to communicate
• Work with others
• Improve your English skills including reading, writing and speaking 
• Develop practical knowledge of English
• Enhance confidence, communication and employability skills
• Meet other people and make new friends

Some of the skills you gain on this course could help increase your opportunities for employment or working within the community.

Learning takes place in a friendly classroom setting, which is a great place for social interaction and helping you meet new people.

This course is subsidised by Government funding so you should aim to attend the whole course.
