What the course is about

Explore the Human Mind: An Introduction to Psychology and Personal Growth

In this engaging course, you’ll dive into the fascinating world of psychology—examining how we think, feel, and behave through the lens of some of the field’s most influential scientists and theories. Alongside academic exploration, you’ll also reflect on your own personal development, gaining insights that can enhance both your learning and everyday life.

Topics may include:

  • Cognitive, forensic, social, and developmental psychology
  • Ethics in psychological practice
  • Practical research methods
  • Groundbreaking discoveries by famous psychologists

Throughout the course, you’ll develop your speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, using them to explore ideas, share reflections, and build confidence in your understanding of psychology.

If you have declared at enrolment that you are unemployed, you may be invited to meet with an Information, Advice and Guidance Officer or employability member of staff, to identify other learning opportunities that will support you to secure employment or improve your employment prospects. We highly recommend that you engage fully in any other learning opportunities that we help you identify.
